Though, before anyone asks if it could be canon, there is one thing in game that actually contradicts the idea that the Faceless are something only Iago can summon, or that would even be exclusive to Nohr other than for ethical reasons. Rhajat is Hoshidan and is capable of summoning Faceless even though she's a diviner... granted, her father Hayato does say she was allowed to study dark magic, but what this suggests is that it's more that Hoshidans are uncomfortable with dark magic and summoning Faceless, rather than that they can't understand the spells or do it themselves. Still, if you exclude her Paralogue from the canon, though, this story does fit well.

I'd just like to say that I saw a bit of this years ago, before playing Fates myself, and this was good enough that for all this time before playing I thought this is Camilla's backstory you see in-game (as DLC or such).

don't know if this was intentional, but i love how theodora resembles her grandson forrest. she has similar frilly pink clothes, braided hair, and is also a talented staff user. the difference is that forrest is a good boy who doesn't give a shit what others think of him and uses his healing magic to help people, and theodora is...well, you know.

you also have to account for stuff thats lost in translation from the intended Japanese original story what we get in the western release is not always a complete picture of the intended message.

I know I'm really late, but I'm gonna write this anyways. People say that this isn't how Azura would normally react, and they'd (technically) be right to say as such. The problem is that she wouldn't react this way because this game butchered its characters with a lack of development and bad writing. This is how she should've reacted, but Fates can't write its own characters. This scene is what we should've gotten. Props to the writers and creators behind this scene
